Amanda has held a variety of professional nursing roles since graduating from the Queensland University of Technology in 2004. Amanda has worked in a number of acute care settings including, Neurosciences and Trauma High Dependency at the Princess Alexandra Hospital and Paediatric Intensive Care at the Mater Children’s Hospital. Amanda has always had a keen interest in family-centred care across the life span. To further her skills in this area, she completed a Graduate Diploma in Midwifery from Australian Catholic University while working as a student midwife in 2010.
Amanda then worked in community nursing prior to moving into General Practice nursing.
Outside of work, Amanda enjoys sewing and spending time outdoors with her three young children.
