Late Arrival, Cancellation & Failure to Attend (FTA) Policy
At MyLife Medical Brookwater General Practice, we are committed to providing timely and quality care to all our patients. To ensure fairness and reduce wait times, we kindly ask all patients to follow the guidelines below regarding late arrivals, cancellations, and missed appointments.
Late Arrival Policy
If you arrive 50% or more past your scheduled appointment time, this will be considered a Failure to Attend (FTA). Unfortunately, you will not be seen, and you will need to reschedule your appointment. An FTA fee will apply.
Cancellation Policy
If you are unable to attend your appointment, we require at least 4 hours' notice to cancel. This allows us to offer the time to another patient in need.
Cancellations with less than 4 hours' notice may be treated as an FTA and may incur an FTA fee.
What to Do if You’re Running Late or Need to Cancel
We understand that unexpected things can happen. If you're running late or need to cancel:

Call reception as soon as possible

In some cases, we may be able to offer a telehealth appointment as an alternative (if clinically appropriate)
FTA Fee
A fee applies for Failure to Attend or for cancelling with insufficient notice. FTA fee will be issued at Managers discretion. Please speak to reception for the current FTA fee amount.
