Dr Ching-Yu Chen

Dr Chen completed GP training in Australia. He gained a lot of experience in various medical specialties from working at hospitals in Australia, Singapore and Taiwan. He has finished the diploma courses for skin cancer medicine and dermoscopy. And also he is an accretided yellow fever vaccine provider. Beyond medicine, Dr Chen and his wife are busy taking care of their little ones at home. The young family enjoy sightseeing and exploring nature. He is also a big baseball fan.

Dr Elisabeth “Libby” Johnson

Dr Libby graduated from the University of Queensland with a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery in 2017. She completed her clinical training in her home town of Rockhampton and was awarded the John F. Dunkley Memorial Prize for the highest marks in Obstetrics and Gynaecology.

After her internship and residency in the Metro South region, she pursued her passion for General Practice, completing her Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners in 2022.

Outside of work, Dr Libby enjoys baking, playing the piano and good food and wine.

After finishing medical school at the University of Queensland, Dr Huang completed his General Practice training in Yeppoon, near Rockhampton.

Brisbane born and bred, in his spare time he enjoys going on road trips around Queensland and hopes to caravan around Australia one day!

He enjoys all aspects of general practice with a special interest in preventative health and diabetes.

Leah graduated medical school from the University of Queensland in 2019. She started her medical journey at Rockhampton and Ipswich Hospital before transitioning to general practice. She has since then completed her Diploma of Child Health and is accredited for implanon removal and insertion.

Originally from Vancouver, Canada, Leah enjoys hiking, the beach, and spending time with her family and cocker spaniel.

She enjoys and welcomes all areas of general practice.

Dr James Maxwell graduated from the University of Queensland in 2012. He completed his training in Oakey in a rural setting where he worked in General Practice and cared for patients in the local Emergency Department and Hospital Ward. He enjoys all aspects of general practice.

Dr Kimberley Rigo completed medical school in 2008 at the University of Queensland. Following her university studies, she served with the Royal Australia Air Force as an Aviation Medical Officer.

Kimberley completed her GP fellowship in 2017 and is passionate about building strong therapeutic relationships with her patients through a patient-centred approach to care. She enjoys all aspects of general practice with particular interests in children’s, women’s and mental health.

It was during her RAAF service that Kimberley gained experience working in occupational medicine, aviation medicine and sports medicine and in 2018 she completed her Masters in Sports Medicine through UQ.

Outside of work, Kimberley enjoys great food and wine and keeping active with her young family.

Dr Tamara Huang graduated medical school in 2018 from the University of Queensland. She spent her junior doctor years at Ipswich Hospital, working in multiple different departments, including obstetrics and gynaecology, paediatrics, general medicine and palliative care. After realising she enjoyed every area of medicine, it became obvious to her that specialising in General Practice was her calling. Having worked as a pharmacist prior to becoming a doctor, she values the importance of continuity of care and primary healthcare.

Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her family, baking, gardening and playing board games.
