Kelsey graduated from James Cook University in 2011 and began her career in Townsville as a Neurosurgical ward nurse. She then transitioned to Intensive Care in Townsville before moving to Brisbane and continuing in the same field at the RBWH, before completing further post graduate qualifications in Critical Care Nursing at Griffith University.
Since then, she has worked in medical, surgical and paediatric wards as well as the emergency department. Currently, Kelsey is also working in nursing education within the local public hospital. She is always keen to try new specialities and believes healthcare is a dynamic profession to learn in.
Kelsey, much like most of our team, has young children at home and enjoys the work life balance that general practice nursing offers, in addition to the ability to create meaningful professional relationships with her patients on a different level to what can be achieved in a hospital setting.
