Dr Tamara Huang

Background

Since graduating from Medical School in 2018 at the University of Queensland, Tamara has spent all her junior doctor years at Ipswich Hospital. She worked in almost every department, including obstetrics and gynaecology, paediatrics, general medicine, palliative care, and cardiology; including spending some time as a medical registrar. After realising she enjoyed every rotation, it soon became obvious to her that General Practice was her calling. Having worked as a pharmacist prior to becoming a doctor, she values the importance of continuity of care and primary healthcare.

Tamara is currently a first year GP registrar, and hopes to be exposed to all areas of medicine to broaden her knowledge as a GP.

Outside of work, she enjoys gardening, baking, and playing board games with her family and friends.
